Share your story

Parent Speakers

We love to be able to provide a platform for bereaved families to be able to share their story to enable students and health professionals to gain a realistic insight and understanding that they can apply to the care they provide.

Sharing your story

Sharing your story helps support students and health professionals to have a real perspective of baby loss

Time for your baby

Many families feed back that sharing their story feels like they are able to actively parent their baby and set some time aside just for them.

All welcome

Every type of baby loss is valid and we're grateful for families being able to share any experience they have faced.

What can I expect?

We've created a timeline below to help you understand what you can expect from being a parent speaker.

You complete an online form to share a little more about you and your baby/ies to sign up to being a parent speaker. Once received you'll receive acknowledgement from a member of our team.

Book on a day & prepare

Our list of upcoming dates will be regularly updated and you'll find this out through our whats app and Facebook groups. Through here you can book onto a date.

You can schedule a check in with our CEO, Steph if you'd like extra support.

Attend the day

Our days run 9am-5pm but it's entirely up to you whether you'd prefer to attend for part of the day, the whole day or just during the time that you're speaking. You'll be supported either way!

You'll be sent all the details of where to go and someone will be on hand to meet you.

Aftercare

Once home, we'll check in with you and also follow up a few weeks later.

You'll also be given access to a specialist grief therapist should you need it.
