Frequently asked questions
Do I have to attend all day?
No, you can choose to attend all day (9am-5pm), part of the day or just for your speaking slot
What format does my presentation need to be in?
Some people choose to use:
- slides (please email them to us 3 days prior if using to steph@beyondbea.co.uk)
- Read from notes
- Speak from memory
- Use a physical item to explain
How long should I speak for?
We recommend anything from 10 minutes up to 30 minutes.
What should I share?
We recommend trying to share a bit about you and your family dynamic, your story in some detail whilst trying to highlight positive and negative parts of your care. It can be helpful to tell the people attending what would have or did matter to you so they can use this as a learning point.
Who will attend and how many people?
Each day can differ but up to 50 individuals will attend and they can vary from students, nurses, midwives, doctors, sonographers, admin staff, bereavement staff, hospice staff and more.
